L’Inde devrait devenir le pays le plus peuplé du monde d’ici le milieu de l’année 2023, dépassant la Chine de près de trois millions d’habitants, selon des estimations des Nations unies publiées mercredi 19 avril 2023. La population indienne comptera 1,4286 milliard d’habitants contre 1,4257 milliard pour la Chine, indique le rapport du Fonds des Nations unies pour la population (UNFPA) sur l’état de la population mondiale, rapporte l’AFP.
